Forms Rb

وضاحت

Forms Rb is a form builder for WordPress. Build a contact form, order form, support form, feedback form, or a multi-page form, using a drag-and-drop builder — no code required.

Version 2.0 is a from-the-ground-up rebuild of the plugin: many more field types and layout options, a proper drag-and-drop form builder, more ways to show a form on a page, and more ways to be notified of a submission.

Form builder

  • Drag-and-drop field builder — add, reorder, and remove fields visually
  • Field types: single-line text, email, long text, phone, number, date, dropdown, radio buttons, checkboxes, agreement checkbox, file upload, heading, and divider
  • Multi-page (multi-step) forms, with pages you can add or delete at any time
  • Conditional logic — show or hide any field based on the value of another field (“show this field only if…”)
  • Ready-made content presets to start from: Contact form, Order form, Support/ticket form, Feedback form, Event RSVP (a multi-page example), Newsletter signup
  • 10 built-in design templates (Default, Minimal, Rounded, Dark, Warm, Forest, Sharp, Pastel, Corporate, Midnight), plus a Custom Style panel to override the primary color, background, text color, corner radius, and font on top of any template
  • Live preview that matches exactly what visitors will see, including the chosen display mode

Where and how a form appears

  • Insert a form anywhere with a simple shortcode
  • Inline — embedded directly in the page or post
  • Dialog / lightbox — a button opens the form in a popup, with configurable overlay color, overlay opacity, and an optional fullscreen mode
  • Chat bubble — a floating button in a corner of the screen (like a support-chat widget), with position, bubble color, and an optional greeting message

Submissions

  • Every submission is saved in the WordPress admin — nothing is lost
  • Per-form submissions list, plus a site-wide “All Submissions” screen with search and a form filter across every form at once
  • Mark as read/unread, delete individually or in bulk
  • Uploaded files are attached to the submission and downloadable from the admin

Notifications and delivery

  • Email notifications
  • Telegram notifications (with a site-wide default bot token in Settings, and a per-form chat ID)
  • Webhook delivery to any URL, with optional HMAC-SHA256 request signing so the receiving endpoint can verify the request came from your site

Spam protection

  • Built-in honeypot field and submission rate limiting on every form, no configuration needed
  • Optional CAPTCHA — reCAPTCHA v2, reCAPTCHA v3 (invisible, score-based), hCaptcha, or Cloudflare Turnstile — configured once for the whole site under Settings

Settings

  • A dedicated Settings screen (General, CAPTCHA, Payments, Advanced) for site-wide options, instead of repeating them on every form
  • Payment gateway key storage (Stripe, PayPal) is available under Settings Payments ahead of payment fields shipping in a future release — this tab is currently disabled (“Coming soon”) and nothing is charged

Built without a heavy JavaScript framework

The admin builder and the form widget shown to visitors are both built without any bundled framework (no React, no UI library) and render inside their own isolated Shadow DOM. In practice that means the form can’t inherit broken styles from your theme, and can’t leak its own styles into the rest of the page either.

FAQ

How do I create a form?

Go to RB Forms Add New, give the form a title, and open its Form Builder panel. Drag field types from the top strip onto the canvas, or click a field type to add it. Use the Presets tab for a ready-made starting point.

Is Forms Rb free?

Yes, the form builder, submissions manager, field types, templates, multi-page forms, conditional logic, spam protection, and email/Telegram/webhook delivery are all free.

How do I place a form on a page or post?

Use the form’s shortcode, shown in the forms list, anywhere in your content — in a post, a page, or a widget area that supports shortcodes.

Can a form open in a popup instead of being shown inline?

Yes. Open the form’s Delivery tab and set “How the form is displayed” to Dialog. You can then customize the trigger button and the popup’s overlay color, opacity, and fullscreen behavior.

Can I show a form as a floating chat-style widget?

Yes. Set the display mode to “Chat bubble” in the Delivery tab. You can choose the corner it appears in, its color, and an optional greeting message.

Where do I manage the fields of a form?

Open the form and use its Form Builder panel — drag fields in from the Field Types strip, click a field on the canvas to edit its label, name, width, required state, and (for choice fields) its options.

Can I make a field appear only under certain conditions?

Yes. Select the field, and under “Show this field only if…” add one or more rules referencing another field’s value.

Can visitors upload a file?

Yes, add a File upload field. You can restrict the accepted file types and the maximum file size per field.

Can I create a multi-page form?

Yes. Pages are managed at the top of the Form Builder canvas — add a page, assign fields to it, and visitors will see a step-by-step form with Back/Next navigation.

Where do I see submitted forms?

Each form has its own Submissions list. There is also an “All Submissions” screen under RB Forms in the admin menu that lists submissions across every form, with search and a form filter.

How do I turn on spam protection?

A honeypot field and basic rate limiting are always on. For CAPTCHA, go to RB Forms Settings CAPTCHA, choose a provider (reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha, or Turnstile), and enter its site key and secret key — this applies to every form on the site.

How do I get notified of new submissions by Telegram or a webhook, not just email?

Open the form’s Delivery tab and enable the Telegram or Webhook channel. For Telegram, set the chat ID on the form (and, optionally, a site-wide default bot token under Settings Advanced). For webhooks, set the destination URL; you can optionally sign requests with a secret set under Settings Advanced.

Can I customize the look of a form?

Yes — pick one of the 10 built-in templates, then fine-tune the primary color, background, text color, corner radius, and font in the Custom Style panel, layered on top of the template.

Where did the old “Fields”, “Main”, and “Dialog” option tabs go?

Forms Rb 2.0 replaced the old fixed field list and settings tabs with the drag-and-drop Form Builder (fields and layout), the Delivery tab (display mode, popup/chat appearance, notification channels), and the Presets/Preview tabs. Existing forms created in 1.x are converted to the new format automatically the first time they’re opened.

Really impressed with Forms RB. Notifications work reliably, setup is simple, and the forms look great out of the box. Great choice if you want something modern without unnecessary complexity.

2.0.0

  • Security fix: stricter permission checks for forms and submissions.
  • Security fix: submissions are checked on the server against the form itself: required fields, the options of dropdowns, radio buttons and checkbox groups, and real dates. A request sent past the browser can no longer store values the form would refuse.
  • Complete rebuild of the admin interface and the front-end form widget on a dependency-free architecture (Shadow DOM, no bundled React/MUI) — forms no longer inherit theme styles or leak their own styles into the page.
  • New: drag-and-drop form builder with many more field types (dropdown, radio, checkboxes, file upload, heading, divider, and more), multi-page forms, and conditional field logic.
  • New: 10 design templates plus a custom style panel (color, background, text color, corner radius, font).
  • New: content presets (Contact, Order, Support, Feedback, Event RSVP, Newsletter) to start a form from.
  • New: dialog/lightbox display mode with configurable overlay color, opacity, and fullscreen option; new chat-bubble display mode (floating corner widget).
  • New: Telegram and Webhook delivery channels, with optional HMAC-signed webhook requests. Email notifications were also fixed — they had stopped working silently for any form using the interim 2.x options format prior to this release.
  • New: honeypot field and submission rate limiting on every form; optional CAPTCHA (reCAPTCHA v2/v3, hCaptcha, Cloudflare Turnstile), configured once for the whole site.
  • New: site-wide Settings screen (General, CAPTCHA, Payments, Advanced).
  • New: “All Submissions” admin screen listing submissions across every form, with search and a form filter.
  • New: file upload fields, with per-field file type and size restrictions.
  • Payment gateway key storage (Stripe, PayPal) added under Settings Payments ahead of payment field types — currently disabled (“Coming soon”); no charges are processed.
  • Existing 1.x forms are migrated to the new format automatically.
  • Fixed: the legacy “floating button on every page” behavior (for forms using a popup/chat display mode) stopped working after a form was re-saved in the new builder — it now reads the current display mode correctly regardless of which options format is stored.
  • Fixed: the “Delete data on uninstall” option under Settings General wasn’t actually wired to anything; uninstalling now removes forms, submissions and uploaded files only when that option was turned on (off by default).
  • Changed: the site-wide “floating button” behavior (a form’s button/bubble appearing automatically on every page) is now an explicit, opt-in per-form setting under Delivery Floating button, instead of happening automatically for every dialog/chat-mode form — this also fixes the button showing twice on pages where the shortcode was also placed by hand, and adds page targeting (all pages / only these / all except these) and a position choice for the floating trigger.
  • Added: button icon picker (10 built-in icons) for the dialog trigger button and the chat bubble.
  • Fixed: the lightbox/dialog form on the live front end was pinned to the left edge of the screen instead of centered — the overlay’s inner wrapper was forced to full width, which defeated the flex centering around it.
  • Fixed: a fast second click (or a script/assistive-tech triggered click) on Submit could send the same submission twice before the server responded; a retry after a failed submit still works.
  • Fixed: reordering fields by drag-and-drop in the builder didn’t start in Firefox.
  • Fixed: floating-button page targeting accepted negative page IDs.
